Bioethics: When Life Is in the Classroom

2:30PM - 3:15PM
Senate Chamber

The fascinating field of bioethics draws together physicians, scientists, lawyers, politicians and other professionals around the vital question: What is morality? How do we move beyond the can-possibilities of medicine and bio-technology to understand what ought to be done? Given that mission, the online MA in Bioethics inherently engages controversy and fundamental human differences. In this session, three of the core faculty from the Division of Bioethics will share curricular lessons learned, core activities and student profiles that exemplify how to bring a highly theoretical and qualitative field of study successfully into an online format.
