Active Collaboration in Our Flippin' Classroom

We will discuss our path for the development of a flipped classroom environment for teaching college mathematics. We'll share our motivation in changing from a traditional lecture-based class to a flipped classroom model, focusing on the promotion of active learning by the students. The research behind the success of this methodology and shareable resources for your use in your own classroom will be presented. We will also share our experiences, including both successes and failures, and point out the pitfalls to avoid when implementing this methodology in your classroom.
