Evaluating and Integrating Digital Content in Middle School Math Classrooms
With the rise of the internet and the proliferation of online content, more and more teachers are using digital content in their classrooms. Therefore, a teacher's ability to evaluate and integrate digital content becomes an essential requirement for successful digital learning. Teachers need to find the right resources for their lessons, and make sure they're high quality, aligned to standards and compatible with existing tools. Without these skills, teachers struggle to integrate technology and digital content to improve student learning. Central Ohio teachers have learned innovative ways to teach pre-algebra using digital resources with Algebra Ready, a year-long professional development project funded by the Ohio Department of Higher Education. We will share relevant theories of technology integration, as well as the design and delivery of Algebra Ready.
