Reaching ALL Students with Mastery Learning

This presentation will provide participants with easy to implement strategies to reach ALL students with Mastery Learning in their classrooms. The discussed methods have been shared and utilized to increase student achievement and ownership through self-paced mastery grids across the country. By providing tools that create a self-paced, personalized and student-centered classroom environment every student can be met where they are at and thrive in the classroom! Inspiration and sharing of innovative strategies and practical solutions will be provided through interactive discussions, Q&A sessions, motivational storytelling, and the use of digital response systems and tools.

As a middle level science educator Ostrowski thrived in the classroom and held roles in grade level, building, and district leadership. While teaching He developed innovative strategies to meet the needs of students and personalize learning utilizing mastery based strategies and original self-pacing frameworks. It is through these experiences that Chad shifted out of the classroom so that he could share his expertise with others. Ostrowski now works as an Adjunct Professor at Malone University department of Education and has Co-founded his own educational consulting company: Progressive Mastery Learning, LLC. Through these outlets Chad works with teachers, schools and districts to increase student achievement through innovative instructional practices.
